I am Sabrina Gross and I am running to be your 3rd District Richmond City School Board representative.

Better Together.

The 3rd District - Richmond, Virginia's Northside - is the most diverse in this city. New transplants, young professionals with small children, and multi-generational families; two-parent, single-parent, and working-parent households; families living with plenty and families just getting by. Our diversity is our strength. But unfortunately, the voices of the privileged can outweigh the voices of the marginalized and underrepresented. As your School Board representative, I will build a coalition of advocates from across the Northside in order to meet the needs of all of our students and schools.

Every Child, Every Need.

I'm not just a Special Education expert, I'm also the single mom of a kid with special needs.  I understand the complexities of getting my child's needs met, and I believe in my heart that all kids deserve to have that kind of advocacy.  I will work with the administration and other school board members to ensure our teachers have both the skills and curriculum to meet our kids where they are and come alongside our kids so that they can achieve their fullest potential.

Getting to Yes.

RPS suffers from decades of underfunding and constantly changing leadership.  It's easy to find problems with RPS and criticize its current leadership, but criticism doesn't solve problems.  I want to partner with the other School Board members and with RPS administration to keep us moving forward and solving the problems our children have inherited from us.  You have a problem?  Let's find a solution!
